Severe Pain After Twisted Knee. Relief With Co-codamol But Knee Still Tender And Having Cramps
Hi, I went snowboarding a week ago and landed funny causing my right leg on the inside of my knee to twist as one end of the board dug in the snow and both my legs were strapped into the board.I was in a lot if pain but carried on the best I could for a while. It got to the point where I felt uneasy as if my leg was going to give way. I went to the hospital as I could walk in my leg at all and they advised me it was possibly just a sprain and gave me co-codamol 30/500 the pain is still their and even though I can walk better now it is still tender on the insude(left)of my knee and very achey cramps on the front lower part of my knee constantly especially when trying to bend, walk upstairs and the tablets arnt working. I still cannot flex it properly and it is causing me a lot of discomfort. Please can you advise?
You should consult orthopedic surgeon who will advise you x-ray of affected knee in AP and Lateral view and do your physical examination. He then tally the reports and will advise you further treatment.
Till then you should not bear weight on that knee. Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening. You can take aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase by discussing it with your doctor.
I hope you have got your answer.
