Round Red Raw Spots On Different Parts Of Body, Handicapped. What Could Be This?

My son has these little round red raw spots on different parts of his body. he is mentally and physically handicap so comunication is not the best so I don't know where he got them he just says they hurt. They are perfectly round and the sizes range from a circle the size of the tip of a cirgarette to almost the size of a dime. They are raw looking and red like they were bleeding but they haven't bled any. What could they be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Round red raw spots on different parts of the body could be due to self inflicted ulcers or induced by others.

Physical examination is required to look for the sites, physical characteristics to differentiate from skin problem or inflicted wounds.

As communication with the child is difficult, consult the doctor for physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
