Right Foot Bent, Faint Crack, Swelling On Ankle

I was practicing with my soccer ball today but the ball was flat and I don t have any money to buy a new one so I just use that one. After some time I kind of stepped wrong and my right foot sort of bended outside, even though I was wearing headphones I could hear a faint crack,I fell down but after some time it stopped and I could continue running, now when I came home just now I can see that there is a small swelling under and a little to the front of my right ankle.I can walk fine but it hurts when I bend it to the side.

it is possible that you strained your ligament on the outside of the ankle. it is advisable to rest and not do any running for a few days at least, to allow the ankle to heal. place an ice pack to the swollen area for up to 10 minutes every two hours, apply a compression bandage to the ankle , keep the leg elevated to avoid further swelling. if the swelling is getting bigger it is indicative of a more serious injury. see a doctor to assess the intensity of the injury. do not weight bear on that leg until you see the doctor to avoid further damage.
