Recurring Swelling In Neck And Pressure In Neck. What Is This?

My neck swells, it comes and goes, but when it does it is spongy and numb,I can feel the pressure building in my neck, and then goes back to normal, but I still feel like there is something in there. It goes from the back of my neck to the front. Very strange feeling, What could it be ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The recurrent swelling in the neck could be related to an infection or an allergy in the area. Proper examination will help in detecting the exact cause. Nerve compression also needs to be ruled out.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
