Reason For Having Very Sharp Pain In The Corner Of Right Thumb ?

Hi Doctor, I have been having very sharp pain in the corner of my right thumb for sometime now. If I hit accidently with something it pains very sharp. Also in the cold weather it is very painful. I will be grateful if you could me know what could be the reason. Regards

your history is very vague. Did you feel any type of discolouration of your thumb. It can be a neuroma just below nail. I would recommend you for further investigation at least x ray. some time an infection can also cause this pain. Till you show to a doctor avoid lifting heavy weight, avoid very cold temperature or water contact with your thumb.
