Reason For Child S High Temperature Despite Giving Amoxicillin?

My daughter is 4 and for the last 4 days has had a temp between 38 an 39.5 despite giving her meds to bring it down it don t go below 38. Untill this morning which is the 5th day. She woke up at 10.30 am ish and I took her temp it was 35 now I m confused do I try an warm her up and risk it rising again or leave her cold so not to let it rise?? Iv just taken it again and it s 35.5. She is pale an puffy eyed an only complains of a head ache. She was seen by doc sat whom gave her amoxicillin but said that she didn t have a sore throat an her ears looked fine, her urine test was clear also. She has only been Eating breakfast and has been sleeping a lot. But otherwise appears fine. Yesterday I took her back to GP As temp still wasn t going down and they said if it s still high 2morrow (2day) then bring her back I m a bit confused as to what s wrong??

Hello,
As he have continuous fever for 4 days in spite of giving antibiotics, it may be due to viral infection. Most of the viral fever may resolve in a week or 10 days. Better continue the analgesics and pain killers. If the fever persists for more than a week, then you should check her blood for any typhoid or malarial fever.
