Pretty Certain I Have Strep, As Not Only Am I

Pretty certain I have strep, as not only am I running a low grade fever, but my lymph nodes and 'tonsils' (what's left anyway) are very very swollen as well as showing white streaks and spots, presumably from bacteria. The thing is, they are getting so swollen that not only is it incredibly difficult to swallow a small sip of water in one try, but also I'm worried that it will either continue to swell overnight or that I will struggle to breathe while asleep. I do sleep with a mouth guard (I grind my teeth pretty bad) so my jaw is slightly open, but would it be safer to sleep laying down? Propped up? Sitting up? Etc.
