Pregnant With Painful Knuckles And Swollen Hands. Pain In The Pelvis And Back. Worried
I'm 34+4 weeks pregnant with my first. Baby is moving but not as much as usual but I have experienced this before and everything was ok. I woke up today with painful knuckles and swollen hands, my lower back and pelvis are very painful and last night i believe I had braxton hicks in my back. Should I be worried about the pain in my pelvis and back and my hands? Thanks x
Hi, Firstly, you should see an orthopedic for the treatment of your hands as it could be one of those contractures that develop in pregnancy. The pain in the pelvis and lower back signify the preparatory stage of labor and you are bound to experience it more, this being the first time.If you notice any discharge, persistent pain or absent fetal movements, report immediately to your consultant. Take rest in left lateral position.
