Pain, Urine Pour Out After Laproscopic Supervervical Hysterectomy, Have Catheter In. Is Pain Due To Hole? Healing Period?

I just .had a laproscopic supercervical hysterectomy. As soon as I woke I had a pain in my right side, when I stood it hurt. After being home 3 weeks I started having urine pour out. I have a catheter in for 5 weeks. What is the chances that the bladder will heal on its own? Could that pain be from the hole in the bladder?

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based don the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed Vesico Vaginal Fistula due to injury to your bladder during surgery.
It is very difficult to predict whether fistula will heal naturally or not.
If problem persists even after 6 weeks you may need to undergo surgery to repair the fisttla between bladder and vagina.
Thanks and Regards.
