Pain In Lower Right Side Of Back. Had Surgery For Full Thickness Tear, Have Screws In Shoulder. Healing Period?
I had surgery in April for a full thickness tear. they put screws in my shoulder and I have been going to pt for some time now. I have not been on pain meds for almost 3 months by my choice. I liked them way too much and got scared. My pt gave me a tens unit to use which does help, however, I have pain in my lower right side of my back now for over l . it hurts to stand, and my shoulder is hurting more now also. I know it might have something to do with the weather changing and my pt tells me I am doing really well. I had surgery in April, how much longer will this take and when will the pain stop?
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood your concern. According to above complaints my opinion suggests you for radiographical checkup because sometimes the fusion of bones do not occur exactly which is called nonunion of bones. Nonunion may feel pain for long time for months or even for years where you might have screws in situ which helps in movement but still have pain near the broken site. Don't be worried and get checked up. Hope this helped you. Thanks.
