Hello

Often the pain around the eye could be due to hypertension. You are advised in visit a physician and get blood pressure examined. Also, you should get a refraction done in the affected eye to check if there is any loss of vision. If there is some defect in vision, then it could be the cause for the headache. It is possible that the vision loss is due to retinal hole that you referred to. Also, please follow the instructions given by retinal surgeon about the retinal hole.

God bless you.
