On And Off Dry Cough, Itchy Throat Affecting Taste Buds. No Swelling, No Fever. Opinion?

I was wondering what to do for a itchy throat? I have had this dry cough and itchy throat for two days now and not sure what has caused it. It comes and goes, but it also seems to affect my taste buds as well. My throat does not feel swollen and I do not have a fever, just kind of annoying. Could this be allergy symptoms?
