Noticed Vertical red line on forehead, swollen nodes in upper neck and groin. What could this be?

My daughter just came home from a trip with a vertical red line on her forhead. She hasnt hit, scratched or hurt it in anyway.....It has come up suddenly and is about 3 inches in length. She has been having trouble for the past 6 weeks with swollen nodes in the upper neck/back and groin and feeling ill alot. What could this be?
