My Wife Is Currently Prescribed Citrolpam By Here Family Practioner

My wife is currently prescribed citrolpam by here family practioner for depression. She has been having issues with alcohol consumption which she has been doing behind my back (EX: when I am at work). Her alcohol of choice is vodka. To me there seems to be a correlation between her alcohol and prescrip drug use. What are the negative side effects of this interaction? Should I consult her doctor and have her taken off this drug? Right now she is refusing any kind of alcohol treatment, refuses to admit her addiction.
