How Can Throat Discomfort After Taking Alprazolam Be Managed?

My wife has taken some medication for the first time recently for anxiety and migraine headache and she now feels like her throat has something stuck in it. She says she can still breath okay but it is very uncomfortable feeling. It is 10pm at night and we live in a small town.. No 24 hour clinics open. She doesn t seem to be in severe distress but she is uncomfortable. What should I do? She took the medication several hours ago so I am wondering if she were to have side affects how long does it take for that to happen. She is on Alprazolam for the anxiety.. and Rizatriptan Benzoate for the headache.

Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause of his symptoms. As of now drink plenty of water and take adequate rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
