My Son Was Admitted Into The Hospital For 3 Days

My son was admitted into the hospital for 3 days with chronic sinus infection, double ear infection, upper respitory infection and the flu. He was on 7 days of antibiotics when he was admitted. His temperature for the past 2 weeks has been as high as 103.5 and recently as low as 93.7. The infectious disease doctor sent him to see the endocronlogist and blood work was done this morning. My son has had 12 sinus infections since September and was discharged from hospital on a 21 day dose of omnicef. He is scheduled for surgery for May 11 to have adenoids and tonsils removed but I am concerned that his temperature has not returned to normal. Thank God he has always been a sick child so he acts like nothing is wrong and he is a strong young man. He will be 5 in June. With a low grade temp like his and all his medical issues would doing a surgery be recommended when no diagnosis has yet been given. Someone recommended a Hematologist. Any thoughts??
