My sister is 44 yrs old. 3 year colon cancer remission. She also has an ostomy bag. she was admitted to the hospital this past Monday due to the inability to urinate. She has not improved at all. CT of head was negative. Cardiologist clearance. She lies in excrutiating pain and complains of a headache also. was given morphine at first for pain, iv fluids since admission, and antibiotics once daily (IV). Urine culture has not come back at this time, but told on admission that she had a sever uti and her body was toxic. Any ideas on what could be going on with her?
