My Question Is Complicated. Last Night I Read A Discover

My question is complicated. Last night I read a Discover magazine article about the potent herb that Hermes gave Odysseus that comes from the snowdrop plant, galantamine. The article indicates that galantamine is used in treatment for Alzheimer's. I have caring for my wife who was diagnosed with probable Alzheimer's
back in 2005 and I am wondering if galantamine is in any of her medications and if not, why not.
She is on Exelon, Buspar, aspirin and she was on Namenda until we were informed that adds little or nothing to the benifits of Exelon.
She gets megadoses of Vit D3 and other dietary supplements.
