My question is about mental disorientation from binge drinking. I binge drank from Thursday night until Monday morning. I had at least 6 bottles of wine and 3 bottles of vodka (no exact memory; possibly more). I stopped drinking cold turkey on Monday morning. I began to experience delirium and severe mental disorientation, as well as insomnia and trouble sleeping. Right now, I'm on day 3 of sobriety. However, I still have trouble sleeping. My sleeping goes something like this: I get two hours of sleep (even with the aid of melatonin), and then I wake up and experience strange mental distortions; my thoughts are incoherent, my emotions are all over the place, I'm constantly changing my sleeping position, and my emotions are negative. I'm unemployed and don't have health insurance. Is this normal, or do I need to get checked?

My 17 year old son in the past year has short term memory lost. He will look disoriented and them ask questions; such as, where is the bathroom or his bedroom? He usually realizes he just asked a strange question and just blows it of and does not seem concerned. Ask first we thought he was joking, but he continues to have these episodes. I had a brain tumor in 2010 so it makes me nervous even though I know my tumor was not a genetic medical problem.

I am having some kind of weird incidents. For example last night we were playing cards when all of a sudden out of nowhere I became unresponsive to my husband a friends. I was there in body but was just kind of staring and did not respond when asked a question. So they decided to stop game. About 5 mins passed. I had moved to chair and was watching TV. As I kind of came out of it I was asking who won game...I completely have no memory of that 5 mins or so. This type of incident has happened several times. My doctor did Cat scan and EEG and no problems. On Alzheimer s test did better this year than last. I am very scared because we cannot get answers. My doctor is stumped

I very rarely seem to discharge solid stool, and most recently I ve been on a bit of a binge drinking alchohol. Could that be the cause? What worries me is even before this week when I was only drinking moderately, I still only seemed to produce diarrhea or at the very least inconsistent texture. So I guess my question is should I be worried?
