My mother was suffering from acute heartburn and belching problem for last few weeks. After undergoing endoscopy she tested positive for RUT test. She was prescribed to take HP kit for ten days. During the course of medication, she was feeling better however after discontinuing the medicines (on completion of 10 days) the problem of belching and mild heartburn has resurfaced. Asditionally, she is complaing of motion two to three times in a day. Does it mean that the bacterial infection has not been completely cured. The doctor whom we are consulting is out of country for about a month. Could she take this HP kit for another 10 days so as to cure this problem of continuous belching? What could be done to make her better till the concerned doctor returns back to India. She it taking pantocid 40 in the morning but it is not of much help.
