My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Liver cancer Jan. 4th 2015. This is something that has come back from the breast cancer she had 12 years ago. She has had 6 chemo treatments and a few weeks ago, she has begun to go in and out of the hospital for belly pain, bloating etc. Doctors thought she had a rupture, but she did not. She has been having trouble going to the bathroom. But just this past week or so, she has been in the hospital due to vomiting a dark green liquid. She has not moved her bowels in a while and blood work comes back perfect, her scans show no blockage, her gallbladder is supposedly fine. She had strong stomach pains two weeks ago and suddenly began to vomit and hasn't been able to enjoy food or drink since. They say there is nothing much else they can do for her at this point, except send her home with IV nutrients and a tube down her nose to suck up the "bacteria" puke. Is there truly nothing she can do for her? Should we consult with other doctors? They will not do surgery because of the cancer. I am terrified that this is a final stage for her. Any idea on what it could be or what we should do would help.
