My Mother Is Suffering From Asthma For Last 35 Yrs,

My mother is suffering from asthma for last 35 yrs, steriod dependant(Wysolone, recently discontinued) which has caused osteoporosis and a number of fragility fractures leading to multiple hospitalizations. Now immobile since last 1 1/2 yrs. She is in a distressed condition, anxious, pain due to skin irritations, paranoid about her bedding being imperfect and demands her bedding and position to be readjusted every 20 mins, even though there is no problem. She has mental delirium, restlessness and forgetful about the events of the day, like she forgets that she has had medicines or food and gets aggressive if reminded she has. Also sometimes starts saying things like " remove my arm " which make no sense to us. She needs constant attention of family members or attendants and gets agitated or angry if not attended even for a short while. She suffers from lack of sleep during nights, sometimes needing attention throughout the night and headaches.

Please give some mild sedation to relieve her from mental anxiety, restlessness and headaches, keeping in view her asthmatic condition. Also, is this normal?
