My mother is 83 yrs old. She lives in a nursing home now ... That has only been in the last two months. She has osteoporosis and high blood pressure. This summer she had four falls. One resulted in two hip fractures, she also had recently a second compression fracture of the spine. Last week, they discovered she has a blood clot behind each knee. Yesterday, a nurse told me that mom's iron level is low and the doctor will run more tests next week because she suspects mom has internal bleeding. Could this bleeding be a result of a fall?
