Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband went in for a follow-up after an upper endoscopy, and a colonoscopy. They found 2 places with stenosis in the esophagus and signs of EOE. He told him to try a different acid blocker than pepcid or rantidine. My husband thought the doctor said Prozac OTC. I think my husband has the wrong name. Maybe Prilosec, Nexium, or Prevacid. Prozac to my knowlledge is not for acid reduction. Correct?
I am so sorry. I didn't know you had to pay for the answer. I think I'll call a pharmacist or the doctors office tomorrow even if my husband doesn't want the doctor to know hne might have gotten the OTC medicine incorrect. Mrs waitus48
