My Husband Has Auto Brewery Syndrome. He Started Taking Escitalopram

My husband has auto brewery syndrome. He started taking escitalopram 20 mg Labor Day weekend for his depression, which seemed to help. He also takes amlodipine besylate 5 mg for his blood pressure. His Auto brewery has gotten much worse and many days now he wakes up already drunk. He is on a grain free, Sugar free diet and is losing too much weight. Should he quit taking the escitalopram and how should he back off it . What test should he have to find out what is going on. He has an appointment with a PA for an annual physical next week.
