My friend's father had a severe heart attack while camping at the coast and was flown to a hospital, where he is in a medically induced coma. His heart is too damaged for an operation. Doctors have said if he survives they will place him on a transplant list. This evening, I recent he update that he is now on dialysis. Does that mean his organs are shutting down and his prognosis is pretty bad, or is that a more normal thing for the situation?
