My Friend, 60 Y.o. Female Has Red Spots Covering Her

My friend, 60 y.o. female has red spots covering her arms and legs, below the knee. Dry, flat patches, some of which seem to get infected. She has now developed a reddened area on both inner thighs, the right thigh is red, purple and veiny looking. No pain and no warmth is associated with any of these spots/rash. All of these have been biopsied with negative results. She has been to the dermatologist and has gone to Jackson Memorial in MIami with no results. She is taking Soritaine??? for plaque psoriasis and now has cracks around the fingernails w/infection not responding to ABX. Her feet are pealing. Her face is puffy. These are s/e of this medication as I understand it. She has an appt with a rheumatologist on Monday. This has been going on for 1 year. **Some background: she takes antibiotics like candy for sinus infections and I believe that her immune system is shot. She is not "sick" but has these outward symptoms. What could this be???
