My daughter used to be on sprintec. Her insurance switched and the doctor put her on monessa. She used to never have any problems with acne before (on sprintec) but her face is a mess on monessa. Her doc wrote a script for sprintec due to her acne but the pharmacist said that they are the exact same birth control drug. My daughter read that some birth control meds can make acne worse. Should she get the sprintec filled? Please advise.
