My 90 year old mother has been suffering for 8

My 90 year old mother has been suffering for 8 months with an eye problem. Years ago she was diagnosed with Sjogren Syndrome. But this is the worst for a long time. We’ve gone to optometrist and opthamologist. There are no infections and the diagnosis has been dry eyes. She’s been drinking water, applying compresses, using different kinds of eye drops, using humidifier, etc. The Dr told her to make sure to use preservative free drops however she says they don’t help. Her one eye stays shut most of the day. The other eye feels scratchy. She’s unable to read, watch TV, etc so is very depressed. I’m at my wits there something else that could be the problem such as the eyelid muscles? Or something else to try for dry eyes?

My mother died in October one month from her 90th birthday. She had kidney failure from ecoli and a severe bladder infection. She went through dyalsis about 5 times and we chose to stop, she had mild dementia and also wanted to stop. I don t think she fully understood she would die by stopping the treatment. I have had a lot of guilt for allowing her to stop dyalsis. Did we do the right thing? She died In about three weeks

My mother is 90 and generally good health, but lately has found through blood tests that her blood count is low and she has over the last few years suffered from nosebleeds. Other information: had hip replacement 2010, had 9 children, cataract has almost taken the complete use of her left eye (she was told it was congenital and that she should have something done when she was 16) she had laser surgery to the other eye. Nodules have formed in a part of her liver, but have not been found to cause any serious setbacks for the number of years she has had them.

Hi, my mother is 90 years old and it looks like her eyes have sunken. She had cataracts removed years ago and uses drops for dry eyes ever since. But now the rims of her eyes are red and it looks like you can see space between the eye and the rims. Is this serious?
