Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 88 year old mother in law had a CT scan that revealed a milddegree of fusiform aneurysmal dilatation involving the proximal and mid infrarenal abdominal aorta. She is in moderately good health for her age. she has well controlled hypertension and CHF since January of this year and has been treated for hyponatremia related to inappropriate secretion of ADH. I'm not sure what the word mild means in this case. At her age and state of health, is this aortic widening likely to become a cause of concern if she lives another few years?
