My 19 Year Old Son Just Had Foot Surgery For

My 19 year old son just had foot surgery for tarsal coalition yesterday, but he also was recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Now his back and neck are extremely painful especially after the surgery yesterday. His dad has ankylosing spondylitis and we're thinking he may have that as well. We're waiting to see a rheumatologist. He's on percocet for the pain for his foot. Can this medication also help with the arthritis? I'm so worried and concerned for him and to see him in such pain breaks my heart.
