My 16 Year Old Son Has Not Been Feeling Well.

My 16 year old son has not been feeling well. Frequent nose bleeds over the past year. Now he reports poor appetite. He states he feels nauseous when he eats over the past several weeks. This week he has been having headaches and looks extremely pale. Took him to the pediatrician. He has lost 10 pounds which is about 7% of his body weight. Doctor ran a CBC, step test, metabolic panel, Epstein Barr panel, and a thyroid test. Strep and Epstein Barr were negative. TSH and Free T4 were normal. BUN/Creatinine ratio was slightly low (7), MCH was slightly high (32.2), Absolute Monos were slightly high (1) as were the granulocytes (65.6) and the absolute grans (5.6). His platelets were low (111). Everything else was within normal limits. Should I be concerned. This is a significant change. He is normally very healthy with a very good appetite. I am very concerned about the weight loss and his poor color.
