My 12 year old has had diarreah, fatigue, and headaches (sharp pains particularly in two spots; in front right and back right of head) for 14 days, I took him and his brothers to an urgent care a week ago from this past Thursday. Both brothers tested positive for strep throat, he was negative, however the doctor prescribed him a Zpac which he finished a couple of days ago. I took him to pediatrician who said it was viral. I should mention that he sustained a concussion on 10/11 during a football game (he was not seen by his Dr. at that time, a friend who is a nurse just gave us instructions and signs to look for etc., and he seemed to be fine within 48 hours). He is complaining of cramping, diarrhea, headaches, vision blurs (no doubles or spots), fatigue, and has had a significant decrease in appetite. Could this be related to the concussion? Is it worth him missing another day of school for another visit to pediatrician? he has missed two weeks already.
