Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your sister's symptoms and the current treatments.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a fully treatable disease, however, it cannot be fully cured.

Betaseron (interferons) are safe and effective in preventing disease relapses.

If interferons do not work, then, natalizumab (tysabri) injections can be given, which are very effective too.

Oral fingolimod is also an alternative treatment option for MS.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
