Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The hot red mark on the leg is likely to be due to an inflammation of the blood vessel in the area due to a prolonged immobilization. It needs a direct physical examination for proper diagnosis and treatment. Color doppler study is recommended.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
