Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
The condition you have described seems to be Melasma. Its a fairly common condition leading to pigmentation over cheeks and other areas of face, usually seen in middle age females. Its chiefly due to your hormonal changes and sunlight.
I would recomend you strict sun protection with high SPF sunscreen(50 or above) and regular use of protective clothing like cap etc. As for your hormonal changes, seek your gynecologist incase you are having any issues with your menstrual cycle. Sometimes, oral contraceptive pills can also lead to similar condition.
As for the treatment part, use triple combination cream containing hydroquinine, fluocinolone and tretinoin ( Clearz Max, Melalite XL etc) only at bedtime over dark spots without rubbing.
In morning apply any cream containing kojic acid, arbutin combination and use a glycolic acid containing facewash daily.
Consult your dermatologist before starting treatment.
Hope this will solve ur query and wish u best of health.
Thank you,
Dr Hardik Pitroda
