Loss of high voice, please help

My daughter is 14 years old. She is in her school's magnet choir and has always sang Soprano 1, but lately she has not been able to hit any high notes and it is really frustrating. Can you please help?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
You can contact an ENT doctor and a Speech Language Pathologist Both. They will help you.If vocal folds are normal that will be clear after laryngoscopic or stroboscopic examination by an ENT doctor than only by voice therapy the problem can be managed. For voice therapy speech language pathologists are the trained professionals.

I am having voice problems for over four weeks now, cannot reach a simple pitch therefore cannot sing at all. Have gone through a course of antibiotics, a set of steroids with no improvement at all. My voice cracks and can speak barely at half my normal volume. Have I lost my voice permanently? Any chance of getting it back? I have been singing from age 4 and now I am 62 years old. This is killing me emotionally. Please help. BTW, I have been to ENT. I don t have upper respiratory problems.

Every time I work out, I lose my voice. It returns within a couple of hours; but it s strained and deeper than usual...this kinda stinks since I m a customer service rep and my job consists of talking. I drink lemon tea w/honey every day (it helps). Is there anything else to help?
