Last week I had a rapid (130) pulse during a period of rest. I also have COPD so I thought it might have been a result of a shortness of breath and low %O2. After an hour, the pulse came down to 106 and %O2 up to 96. A visit to primary physician resulted in antibiotic for bronchial infection. Today, just 1 week since last episode, I experienced another period of rapid and irregular heart rate. It quickly came down to 104, %O2 to 97, BP 125/73. When should I be worried enough to go to ER (weekend-no office hours)? What are the possibilities to be causing this? I am on Symbicort (160/4.5 twice per day) and Tudorza (400 mcg twice per day).
