I've been to the doctor recently due to sudden severe chest pains (happens 1 to 3 times per year, last 1 to 5 days, spread out by about an hour or two - has been going on for approx. 25 years), lock jaw (jaw locked open twice during a recent visit to the dentist for crown work, before that happens every 2-3 years when I yawn too wide - again, has been going on for approx. 25 years), and joint pains (wrist and foot, recent developments). Tests run, endoscopy performed, abdominal and chest xrays, thyroid ultrasound (b/c the doc felt something in my neck), and echo. The endoscopy came up with H. Pylori and excess food in stomach, so I'm now on medicine for the H. Pylori and a colonoscopy was ordered to see if there is any sort of blockage causing my stomach not to empty properly. The blood work came back slightly low MCH (25.9, average 26.6-33.0), slightly high Calcium, Serum (10.4, average 8.7-10.2), slightly high Total Cholesterol (218, average 100-199), slightly high LDL Cholesterol (103, average 0-99), Vitamin D Deficiency (13.6, average 30.0-100.0), a small nodule in the right thyroid lob, and Mild Mitral Regurgitation and Mild Tricuspid Regurgitation. Any theories on reason(s) for all of this. I recently moved across the country, am having trouble finding a doctor who is willing to see me within the next 2-3 months because of schedules, and I was only seen by a very young, just out of school, nurse practitioner, who didn't even remember that I had come in for chest pains in the first place.
