I've Been Self Medicating With Over-the-counter Remedies For Allergies For

I've been self medicating with over-the-counter remedies for allergies for years. I just found out recently that I do not have allergies!! I was diagnosed with non-allergic rhinitis. Since the diagnosis, have been experimenting with suggestions from the allergist and WebMD articles. So I don't have allergies, and never had much nasal congestion unless it was a sinus infection. But always woke up with the ' feeling. I recently bought a 'wedge pillow' to elevate my head while sleeping. After three nights, I have felt better in the morning than after any medication regimen ever tried. Is this weird? I'm guessing the nasal inflammation may have caused some sleep issues? I don't wake up with the 'lead brick behind my eyeballs' feeling anymore? I'm considering buying an adjustable bed. I know that elevating the legs is often suggested for poor circulation in the legs/feet. Could poor circulation have anything to do with this?
