Itching On Whole Body, Used Incid L, Reappeared Itching. Can It Be Changed To Crotorax?
Dear Doctor (Dermatologist!) My daughter suddenly developed itching on her whole body which is severe during evenings and night times.Used Incid-l got subsided within a day .Discontinued medicine immediately.Started medicine once again upon reappearance of itching. What is the dosage for "Incid l" generally? OR Shall I change the medicine to something like crotorax solution? These medicines were administered after consulting dermatologists(relatives) over phone but now I want to make sure whether choice of medicine is correct or not.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Incid L is cetrizine and its dosage is 10 mg once daily. Cetrizine can be given for 3 days to a week to reduce itching. Crotorax is medication used to treat scabies which is infestation of mites in skin. I suggest you get in touch with a dermatologist and get your daughter examined to rule out the causes of itching. Do not try medications without a doctors examination.
Thanks.
