Is Weightlifting Safe While Having The History Of Punctured Hamstring?

So I punctured my hamstring with a fence trying to jump it about 5 months ago I got stitches and my wound healed and closed up like in a month or less and I exercised by running, stretching but by bit but I want to know if it s safe for me to lift weights yet?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, I understand your concerns.
It may be too early for such intensive work up since injury may recur and it would be good to wait for 1-2 more months before exercise. Also, before you do it, you should check your muscle contition with ultrasound or MRI scan which may reveal possible healing process and exact timing of exercise.
Wish you good health.
