Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son has very visible veins on his cheaks on his face. He has had them since birth. Its almost like his skin is very thin. I m wondering if they will fade as he gets older or if this is something he is going to have to deal with for life. I don t want him to be made fun of for them.
HI...this could be a haemangioma of the cheek. It is treatable with drugs now a days. If I were your paediatrician I would give a try with Oral Propranolol. I suggest you meet your paediatrician for evaluation and dosage recommendations. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
