Is Tube Feeding Appropriate During Lung And Stomach Cancer?
yes please. My 78 year old father was DX with lung cancer, then they found it in his shoulder and now has spread to his stomach. He has chosen not to receive chemo or radiation. He is loosing weight rapidly and does not have much of an appetite. Will he eventually just stop eating? is a g tube appropriate?
looking to your case it is natural to have decreased appetite in patients of carcinoma. Here he is having lung cancer along with stomach cancer now, eventually he ll not able to have food. Better to put jejunal tube feeding as it will bypass stomach. So not to worry about feeds after that. you can give feed through that tube.
