Is Triglycomet Tablet Banned? What Are The Side Effects?

Sir, i am diabetic patient. I am using triglycomet tablet. Recently (2 weeks back)i heard that this tablet is banned. This information i got from medical shop. He also told that it is banned due to side effects. Is this correct sir? What are those side effects?

Hello,

It is true that the Government of India had banned Pioglitazone in that combination due to increased risk of bladder cancer and bone fracture.
But now the ban is lifted because the is no evidence supporting it. Now the drug is available in the market.
