General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
Ingrown toe nail can cause severe discomfort and usually presents with pain, redness, swelling and sometimes discharge. A course of antibiotics are given to treat the infection along with pain medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen that may help with the inflammation. Soaking the feet in epsom salt usually helps with providing soothing effect and eases the pain to some extent. You can continue to do it twice daily and there is no known interaction with levofloxacin. Maintaining good foot hygiene would help.
