Is This Dosage Of Histal Expectorant Be Safe For A 9 Month Old?

My son is 9 months 5 days old and I was told to give him 1.25mls of medication. He is very big for his age and I found that dosage to be not enough for him. What is the dosge for him and is this medication age dependent only or do I consider his size as well?

Hi.

The medication is age and weight dependant. Are you sure your doctor did not prescribe 1.25 ml per kg of body weight? But as I do not know his weight I think it would be best you speak to the prescribung doctor to get the best and most effective safe dose for the medication. For now, please go about the dosage mentioned.

Best wishes.
