Is There Anyway To Tell The Difference Between A Staph Infection Or A Spider Bite?

Is there anyway to tell the difference between a staph infection or a spider bite? It started looking like a pimple that I tried to pop but just grew huge, red, and sore. The whole in the middle began to grow after gray stuff came out. Now there is a large hard lump and it hurts to walk (its on my leg). Lastly inside the red circle, now 4-6 inches in diameter, there is a purple very painful circle. I'm on antibiotics because the walk-in by my house said it was a staph infection but they didn't do any cultures to test for staph and the medicine isn't really working (I'm now on day 4 of a 10 day antibiotic). Thanks!
