I am on 40 mgs of omneprozole twice a day. I have been for at least 4+ years, since i was diagnosed and treated for H-Pylori. At my recent bloodwork, the only flag was my ALT at 106. My PCP had me come in for more bloodwork on Friday to check my liver. I do not have those results, yet. I have low energy for 4 months. Being that my stomach was partially eaten away from the h-pylori, my gastroenterologist put me on the omneperzole. Knowing that the stomach and the liver are both part of my gastointestinal tract, could there be a correlation between the stomach meds and the liver?? I do not suffer from GERD or heartburn or acid indigestion. I am 5 5 1/2 , 150 lbs. active in sports and outdoor activities, eat a healthy balanced diet and am 58 years old. What might be happening to me?
