Is There Any Reason For Concern If A Poop Has Sweet Odor And There Is Difficulty In Keeping Cleaned Out?

My son just finished a bowel clean out at the hospital. He had stool impacted in his bowel and intestines up to his stomach. He has an ACE with a button. He has done several of these in the past but this is the first time when he came home that his poop has a sweet odor to it. Very strange. He is also having difficulty keep cleaned out doing 2 flushes a day with 1000ml of GoLytely. Is there reason for concern?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the laxative call lactulose may cause such sweet smell still it is advisable to get done the stool examination for better knowing the cause but first rule out the laxative effect if ever given, although it is not matter of concern, if no other symptoms are there hope this information helps.
